The earth is blue as an orange
Cinema
This magnificent documentary, written and directed by Ukrainian director Iryna Tsilyk, received the prize for best direction at the 2020 Sundance Film Festival. It explores with great humanity the life of a family during the Donbass war, and poses the difficult question of the place of art in the face of war.

Piano Recital
Jewels and trinkets
Jean-Philippe Sylvestre is one of the most vibrant artists on the Quebec scene: his irresistible musical personality, his virtuosity and his human warmth always make him a great favorite with the public. His recital will allow us to discover the neo-romantic works of the Ukrainian composer Valentin Silvestrov, currently a refugee in Germany, as well as to revisit the great classics of Chopin, Scriabin and Balakirev.

Two-pianos recital
Music in exile
Many Slavic artists had to flee their country following the outbreak of war in Ukraine. Their destiny reflects that of several great composers who also had to go into exile because of the conflicts of their time. In this recital constructed as a psychological journey, the Montreal Piano Duo explores the theme of exile, through works by Chopin, Stravinsky, Rachmaninoff and Ikramova.
